Aunt Maud's won big on the lottery and she's invited her nearest and dearest to a lavish Christmas retreat at an exclusive country manor. But that's where Maud's luck runs out. Somebody's not happy with their present and Maud takes a face dive into the Christmas turkey. Who killed her? It could be you!

Simply Murder takes the hassle out of hosting with a pick-up-and-play kit that needs no preparation. You don’t have to send out invitations or dress up (unless you want to). Just hand out the roles and let the fun begin!
Each player is given a character sheet containing a scripted introduction and key facts - there aren’t any scripted questions or answers, leaving you completely free to improvise your role (acting tips are included)! Audio narration from Inspector Basset drives the game forward over three rounds, so you can play along with your friends - even the host doesn’t know whodunit!
Simply Murder’s relaxed format allows you to play the game at your own pace - finish it in an hour or stretch it over a cosy afternoon. Play with a buffet or over dinner, at any time of the day or night...

Needed something that was suitable for 12 - 18 year olds as well as adults, they all LOVED it. It was completely appropriate for the younger ones who kept up, but challenging enough for the older ones. Really flexible so worked even though someone had to bail on the evening.
The package was really easy to print and use, as a hostess super easy to facilitate the event - love this and will definitely bear this organisation in mind for future murder mystery needs!

Our family had such a fun time doing this murder mystery for our Christmas in July gathering! We didn't go all out, but it was still tons of fun and a great activity! The prompts are well written, directions easy to follow, and even the host gets to play!
It made for a fun night murder mystery. The only downside was that the murderer is completely chosen at random. That said, as directed as the clues and facts might seem, the "reveals" for if you're character is chosen as the murderer really aren't major or specific enough. It just ends up being a total random guess. There's no way of differentiating from that clue or any others provided if you are innocent. That said, it's fun for what it is, though unless you are playing with a completely different crowd, there's no replay value, so in the future I'd probably just get a game with a predetermined murderer as it's more specific and definitive.
