Murder in the Thirties [Download] Reviews

We have played quite a few murder mysteries from various sources mainly with the same group of friends. We always dress the part and set the scene, but this time we all agreed it was the best night we have all had for a long, long time. It was such a laugh, partly brought on by the "Chinese lady" attempting to portray a strong Chinese accent. We all went to town on hiring/buying/obtaining costumes. We did our own menu and sorted our own 30's music as the supplied music was not really suitable. The DVD clues were great although I must have missed some menu on one of the clues as, fortunately, I read the clue also and it revealed far more than the DVD - probably my mistake. Out of eight, two people guessed the murderer: one guessed it by noticing that one person was not referring to their script when they answered questions, so was probably lying and therefore the murderer! Might be worth mentioning in the notes for the murderer that they should pretend to read from their notes if they lie! It was not obvious who committed the crime, but hey - who cares - it was a laugh. Value for money 5*. Would definitely come again and recommend. Congratulations for a 1st class Peter and Penny Wagner (2018)
Really good fun and very cheap to down load. 8 of us had a good laugh over new year in fancy dress having decided the day before to do something different. thanks chris (2016)
Well set out and easy to follow instructions. Everyone got into the spirit of it and made an effort to dress in character. We had great fun and all thought the murderer was someone different so it was quite a surprise for most of us!Suso Shady (2016)
Fantastic evening. Everyone made a real effort with their costumes. It was made even better with everyone trying to speak in an American accent. Sara (2015)
Fantastic Easy to follow as the wine flows and quick fire enough to keep the attention. The video is great Mandy (2015)
